I Want to Go Home

This book was inspired by a chance conversation on the way to a school visit in Illinois --but the idea was a natural for me, as it involved a girl who has had to move, and a cat. I've moved more times than I can count, so I know what it feels like to be homesick. And I care about cats. When Tambourine Books brought this book out in spring 1992 I liked the warm illustrations by Jill Kastner. The reviews were good, and I was stunned when it went out of print. I wish I still had extra copies to share with my schools; I don't. I hope your library has it.
